I’m not a professional designer or house flipper(yet)! I am a young woman who loves old houses and renovations, and I am teaching myself as I go. This site is the documentation of my first home renovation, and hopefully not my last. Some of the work I’ve done myself, and some I’ve had contracted out. One of my quirks; I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and typically find a way to be the messiest person on site.
My family consists of my beautiful baby boy Ezra, and my dogs, Denali, and Dozer. I am originally from California, but moved to North Carolina by way of Texas. In 2019 my mother moved from Austin, Texas to live with me. My mother is who I get my designer eye from. She brought me up on HGTV and instilled in me the importance of decor from an early age. She always allowed me to have design freedom when it came to my personal space.
I eventually came into my own style which I would categorize as vintage/industrial/farmhouse. I follow trends, but like to give it my own flair. One other aspect of my design style is the use of salvaged items. Some of my favorite decor features come from items that I have re-purposed and given new life.
I hope you enjoy my blog and use it as motivation to take on your own projects. I truly believe anyone can do anything they set their mind to. Don’t be afraid to dream and certainly don’t be afraid to make those dreams come true.
